Workum Summer Internship Program Jewish Family Service is proud to be associated with Workum and again in the summer of 2010, Jewish Family Service had a positive experience with our Workum intern. We know our older adult clients benefited from this wonderful opportunity. JFS is open to having 1 or 2 interns working in our Aging and Caregiver Services Department under Ann Sutton Burke's supervision. As in the past the interns will work to reduce social isolation, more specifically in the area of socialization and programming for older adults across the department. JFS provides socialization and programming in our Options Cincinnati (Naturally Occurring Retirement Communities), and our Center for Holocaust Survivors programs. The intern will in the following areas, depending on the student’s personal and academic strengths:
Candidates do not need to speak a language other than English; however, knowledge of Russian, Hebrew or Yiddish is always a plus and may provide the intern with a more in-depth experience. The candidate should have access to a car. Contact Ann Sutton Burke at 766-3350 or asuttonburke@jfscinti.org with any questions. |
