Workum Communications Intern for 2015

The Communications Intern will report directly to the Assistant Camp Director. This position will require working at camp from June 1st through August 6th. The Communications Intern will have 7 days off during this time, five days to schedule at the Intern’s discretion and two days in between our sessions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The day-to-day responsibility of external summer camp communications belongs to the Communications Intern in coordination with the Assistant Camp Director

  • Work with Executive Director and Assistant Director to create a plan that ensures all of the proper communication channels are updated as deemed necessary by the Camp, including but not limited to:
    • CampMinder
    • Facebook
    • Twitter
    • Instagram
    • Constant Contact
    • LinkedIN
    • Pinterest

  • Ensure that the proper quality and quantity of photos are taken every day and posted nightly to our web service.

  • Communicate with off-camp groups to ensure the necessary updates and photos are being posted regularly.

  • Create articles to send to local newspapers about camp events.

  • Enhance year-round camp communication plan by utilizing summer programming to create media to post throughout the year.

  • Assist in running camp media activities such as newspaper, photography, videography, etc.

  • Develop methods to share camp events with Alumni base.

  • Share in overall administrative responsibilities at camp.
