The Jewish Federation of Cincinnati Workum Summer Intern 2017:
Create Your Jewish Legacy/Legacy Flame

Job Description:
Assistant, Create Your Jewish Legacy and Legacy Flame

Description of Create Your Jewish Legacy and Legacy Flame:
Create Your Jewish Legacy (CYJL) is an initiative of the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati to assist our local agencies and congregations in building their endowment funds, to ensure their long-term stability and sustainability. CYJL is modeled on a successful national program that provides training and materials to help Jewish organizations create legacy programs.

The Legacy Flame is a unique, legacy donor public recognition exhibit, located in the Mayerson JCC. Combined with a beautiful sculpture, this interactive exhibit features multimedia content where donors tell their stories and discuss why they made a legacy commitment to our local Jewish community.

Job Responsibilities

The Workum Intern will be responsible for the coordination of many of the activities associated with the program and exhibit, including:

  • Help liaise with a design agency specialized in user experience to make improvements to the exhibit interface

  • Lead a project to document past leadership of the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati and its committees

  • Work with video producers and CYJL staff on videos to be included in the exhibit

  • Lead efforts to increase accessibility of the Legacy Flame for the hearing impaired, including transcribing video interviews of legacy donors

  • Help build donor profiles for the Legacy Flame exhibit, including gathering materials and loading multimedia content into the exhibit

  • Data entry and file maintenance

The intern will report directly to Reagan Kuhn, Create Your Jewish Legacy Project Manager, and David Harris, Manager of the Create Your Jewish Legacy program, and work as part of the Development team.
